DevOps Foundation Training
DevOps has risen in popularity in the last few years in the IT Ops and IT management space and it's practices are widely being used by organizations across the world. DevOps is a blend of several practices that have emerged in the IT world with a strong focus on automation and culture. Devops is not an option but a necessity for organizations in today's world.
This course provides an introduction to DevOps – the cultural and professional movement that stresses communication, collaboration, integration and automation in order to improve the flow of work between software developers and IT operations professionals. Improved workflows will result in an improved ability to design, develop, deploy and operate software and services faster.
This course includes key concepts in DevOps such as CALMS (culture, automation, lean, measurement and sharing) and discusses related practices for each of these areas. Examples of some practices include Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Continuous Delivery, ChatOps, DevSecOps amongst others. The course also covers the 3 principles of DevOps as discussed in the Phoenix Project.
The target audience for the Foundation qualification are Management, Operations, Developers, QA, Testing, Service Management including:
Individuals involved in IT development, IT operations or IT service management
Individuals who require a detailed understanding of DevOps principles
IT professionals working within, or about to enter, an Agile Service Design Environment
